Welcome to the University of Macedonia Internship Office
The University of Macedonia Internship Programme was institutionalized in 1997, when the University Of Macedonia Internship Office was established with a view to consolidate the necessary communication of the University with the labor market and society. The University of Macedonia Internship Office is responsible for the Institutional coordination and support of the central Project “Practice, University of Macedonia”, which currently runs under the Operational Programme "Education and Lifelong Learning" 2007-2013 and is funded by the European Social Fund (ESF) and national funds, through the Public Investment Programme of the Ministry of Education & Religious Affairs, Culture & Sports.
During all these years of operation, the University of Macedonia Internship Programme has evolved into an institution for the academic and the business world. It gives the opportunity to students to pursue positions in the workplace on better terms, and offers the business world the possibility to invest in highly skilled human capital. In this way, a channel of communication between the academic and the business world is being continuously built, promoting the use of knowledge, exploring new needs and monitoring new trends in the labor market. The University of Macedonia Internship Office always tries to optimize the operational structures and procedures it follows, in order to respond effectively to current needs and the significant work it is intended to perform. As part of this effort, we have carefully created this website, hoping that it will constitute a useful channel of communication and diffusion of information for all interested parties.
It is our deep belief that knowledge is not gained only through courses and exams. Our aim is not just to create competent executives but also to support the new generation, given the difficult circumstances that prevail.
